Step 1. Click on START=>SETTINGS=>DIAL UP  NETWORKING.

Step 2. Double-click on the “MAKE NEW CONNECTION” icon.

Step 3.Where it says, “TYPE THE NAME OF THE COMPUTER YOU ARE DIALING”, enter “Intercomm”. Click “NEXT”

Step 4. Leave the “AREA CODE” blank.  Enter InterComm’s dialup phone number.  (Call for your area).

Step 5. Make sure the correct modem is listed on the bottom. If not, select the correct one by clicking on the Drop Down Menu.

Step 6. Click “NEXT” then “FINISH.”

Now we will configure the Intercomm Connection.

Step 1. Right click on the “INTERCOMM” connection icon and from the menu select “PROPERTIES”.

Step 2. Click on the “NETWORKING” Tab.   Ensure that “ENABLE SOFTWARE COMPRESSION” and “TCP/IP” are the ONLY items checked on this Tab.

Step 3. Click on the “SECURITY” tab. There should be NO items checked on the bottom of this Tab. Enter your “USER NAME” and “PASSWORD.” Click on the “OK” button.

You have finished configuring your dialer for Windows ME.
